Chinese New Year February 2022
Happy Chinese New Year!
In Chinese tradition, each year is named after one of 12 animals, which feature in the Chinese Zodiac: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. This year (2022), is the year of the Tiger
Reception had lots of fun celebrating the Chinese New Year. They created their own Lanterns, which are known to bring good fortune. They also had great fun pretending to make noodle and rice dishes, they even used chopsticks!
We also welcomed Primary Workshop, who came to teach us some dragon dancing. We had so much fun learning something new, we were so proud of how well the children listened. We also got the chance to learn some Chinese dances, parasol and fan dancing.
