Equality Information and Objectives

Lyon Park Primary School adheres to the Public Sector Equality Duty and is dedicated to maintaining high-quality provision across our organisation. To achieve this, our equality objectives for 2022-2026 are outlined below:

Objective 1

Train all members of staff and governors involved in recruitment and selection on equal opportunities and non-discrimination by the beginning of the next academic year. Training evaluation data will show that 100% of those attending have a good understanding of the legal requirements.

Objective 2

To ensure consistent baseline assessments for children at the early stages of English in Reading and Writing.

Objective 3

To narrow the gap further between boys and girls in reading and writing.

Objective 4

Ensure that Black Caribbean boys attain well and in line with national for reading, writing and mathematics.
